Perpetual calendars are a specialty of BOVET 1822 and have been in the BOVET collection for decades. The Récital 21 is a new take on this traditional complication, featuring a retrograde date hand, along with the day of the week, month, and leap year indications. The Récital 21 comes in the trademarked Writing Slope case and offers 5 days of power reserve with a single barrel.

Watchmaking’s most advanced calendar, collectors have been known to stay up until midnight on the last day of each month, to watch all the indications move at the same time. And December 31 offers an even bigger treat, as the leap year indicator will jump as well.

The Récital 21 features circular Côtes de Genève hand-finishing surrounding the dial, while an aperture at 9 o’clock showcases the patented double co-axial seconds mechanism. On the back, the finely-decorated manufacture movement and the in-house hairspring and regulating organ mesmerizes.

The Récital 21 has 464 components and takes approximately 18 hours for a skilled BOVET watchmaker to assemble from start to finish.
