BOVET, in its more than 200-year history, has never had a true GMT timepiece, until now. The Récital 32.
This is a meaningful timepiece for the House where time finds meaning. I am very excited to have it on my wrist.
The dial colors match the straps, the huge tourbillon carriage, a roller for the power reserve, the off-set hour and minute dial with a day/night indicator, and a GMT hand, all with the finishings of BOVET.
Pascal Raffy, Owner, BOVET
But, BOVET has never had a true GMT timepiece. By definition, a GMT features a separate hand that indicates the hour of a second time zone. So, owner Pascal Raffy decided to design BOVET’s first ever GMT timepiece. And he did it his way.
It wasn’t enough just to do that extra hand. Oh, no, Mr. Raffy insisted on integrating an expanded flying tourbillon (borrowed from the Récital 28), 10 days of power reserve, and, of course, a fully hand-engraved manufacture movement.
Oh, and he insisted it needed to all fit into the 42mm case first used by the Récital 30. A tall challenge indeed, but one BOVET’s technical office was up to. After two years of research and development, the Récital 32 was born.
