Servicing:
To keep your watch in perfect working condition, we recommend you have the movement cleaned and oiled every five years. For quartz watches, as batteries normally last only two or three years, they will need to be returned to an authorised retailer more frequently for a battery change. Please take your watch to any BOVET authorised retailer to have it serviced or repaired. He will ensure your watch is controlled and tested to by a qualified watchmaker. Intervention by an unauthorised retailer or watchmaker can invalidate your warranty.
Water-resistance:
Warning: Your watch is only water-resistant as long as the crown is pushed against the case. Please ensure the crown is pushed down after you set or wind your watch. A blow to the glass or crown might cause a loss of water-resistance. It is advisable to have a water-resistance test carried out every year on water-resistant watches. This is a simple procedure that takes only a few minutes at a properly equipped point of sale.
Leather straps:
Water or chemicals will damage leather straps. Please take your watch to any of BOVETs authorised retailer if you need to have the strap changed. He will ensure your watch is fitted with a genuine BOVET strap.
